Not quite what I expected
Submitted by David Shepherdson on Wed, 02/06/2019 - 23:12
This plug-in sounded good from the write up on the developer's site, but on installing it I got a splash screen about 'CodeMix' stating that I was starting a 30-day free trial. There's also a 'CodeMix' icon at the lower-left of my Eclipse window, and no apparent way to remove this and just keep the Slack code sharing functionality, so I've uninstalled the plug-in.

David,
Sorry that this isn't clear. The plugin is actually a feature of CodeMix, so requires CodeMix to be installed. We'll see about making this clearer. However, it's possible to disable the rest of the CodeMix features. Go to the CodeMix preferences page and select the box labelled "Temporarily disable CodeMix functionality". Don't worry about the word "temporarily", it is up to you whether and when you re-enable the functionality. Sorry about the confusion and I hope you give the plugin another try.
Doesn't seem compatible with Neon ...
Submitted by Anthony Maske on Tue, 06/28/2016 - 02:04
Tried installing this several times under Neon by several different ways (website marketplace and eclipse marketplace through eclipse) and each time the work space gets hosed.
I'm assuming if a plugin isn't compatible with the version of Eclipse (Neon in this case) its being installed in, Eclipse won't install it, however, the install goes through but the work space gets hosed.

I am getting a connection reset error while installing slack from the eclipse market place.
Can you please provide a solution for it to get installed without any interruption.
Slack for Eclipse.

I'm using Slack Mars 4.5.1 and have the following issues:
(1) It won't accept my token and
(2) the 'Get it here!' link to get a Slack token doesn't work.
Due to the above issues, this Eclipse tool does not work for me.
Does anyone have a solution, or has anyone found the above issues?
Sorry about missing this!

Strange that Get it here! doesn't work, but happy to say that tomorrow we are releasing a much updated version that includes seamless integration with Slack including a one-click Add to Slack button -- no more messing with Tokens :)
