UML Designer installation on Sirius 7 and Eclipse IDE 2022-06

I can install and use 'Read-To-Use Package' UML Designer 9.0.0 from umldesigner.org/download
But once I am trying to install UML Designer on the top of Eclipse IDE 2022‑06, Sirius 7.0.2 from Marketplace or 'Install New Software', it is simply not cooperating and saying UML Designer will not be installed.

If you already have an Eclipse installed you can install it by using the UML Designer 9.0 update site.

When i go the the market place (with client version 1.7.6), i just see "Learn more" instead of "Install" - so i think it's pre-installed an, so as already said, "buggy by default"...
Otherwise i would see an "Install"-button, instead of the "Learn more"-link, right?!?
And i can't create some UML class diagrams from Java source code, i didn't saw any options for that.
And a "special" kind of project, e.g. specific for UML, is also not available in the project list.
So what to do in that situation? Any workarounds, or better, solutions for that issue?

Im trying to install it by Drag n Drop but nothing happens. Did the same with other apps to confirm its an issue related to this one and seems so since the other apps were installed. Any workaround? :D

Hello, Have you tried by using directly the Eclipse Marketplace Client ?
Other possibility : current version of UML Designer can be installed Eclipse 4.6 (Neon) only. Are you using this version of Eclipse ?

Really guys?! I'm gonna have a hard time giving a positive review if the install doesn't even work...
On a completely fresh Eclipse Oxygen instance I got the following error:

I can see it'll be the most powerful uml designer plugin,but now,it shows too many bugs,most terrible is that , the first,after create the class diagram,when drag a class icon to the canvas,it shows a error dialog,and the canvas always show blanks,but i can see the new class item in the left explorer.and second,when close the canvas ,i can't open the class diagram canvas any more,unless i restart the eclpse.

I have installed it in Eclipse Neon, worked with the first go.
A bit of a change of mindset if you come from a IBM Rational Software Architect perspective. I love the separation of model information (.uml) from the view information (.aird), it solves a huge complain from many of my colleagues in the financial services industry, especially if you are into model driven development; why parse a huge file (model + view) when you are just interested in the model only.
Also love the fact it is Eclipse EMF based, loads of previous eclipse plugins can still be ported with slight modification.

Appalling UX

The UX is appalling, the usability product bears no relation to the "Getting Started" tutorial on the plugins website and doesn't appear to function correctly via exploration. Add lots of meaningless/opaque options but most result in empty and non-functioning popups. Uninstall doesn't function correctly, with numerous options left handing around in Eclipse.

So many errors, I must been submitted at least 20 different bugs in less than 20 minutes.
I couldn't find the Java generator code.
I have a "decent pc" with SSD, and every action takes between 3-7 seconds to response

problem with tutorial

When trying to do the "Create an UML project" tutorial, I see the following error message:
"Error loading cheat sheet content.
Cheat sheet content file '/doc/cheatsheets/CreateProject.xml' could not be parsed, error at line '47', column '9'."
And the tutorial is not launched.
I looked for this file and I found it in the following path:
./configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/905/0/.cp/doc/cheatsheets/CreateProject.xml
The file has effectively an error at line 47, in a followed by a text that has closing quotation mark but not has not opening quotiation mark and lacks the "label" attribute definition, making it an invalid XML file.
However, after adding the "label" attribute and quotation mark for the text and saving the file, eclipse still shows the same error message when trying to launch the tutorial, even if the file is now valid XML.
