Maveryx is a free and open source test automation tool for functional and regression testing of Java(TM) applications. It provides testers with automated testing capabilities for functional testing, regression testing, GUI testing and data-driven testing.
Maveryx eliminates dependency on "GUI Maps" (or "Test Object Maps"): NO pre-recording or UI capture is required to create and run the tests - just code and run! Maveryx uses advanced fuzzy matching algorithms to locate objects directly at runtime during test execution, even if the objects have changed since test creation. This enables testers to automate tests resilient to frequent application user interface changes.
Maveryx provides open interfaces and an extension plugin mechanism to allow implementing dedicated support for advanced custom controls, new searching algorithms and testing functions.
Maveryx is also available as plug-in for Eclipse. It is designed to provide a powerful, integrated environment to create and run the tests.
Maveryx plug-in extends the capabilities of Eclipse to let you:
- quickly set up new Maveryx test projects
- create tests based on the Maveryx Framework API
- compile, run, and debug Maveryx tests from the Eclipse SDK.
Developing in Eclipse with Maveryx is highly recommended and is the fastest way to get started.

NEW - Maveryx v1.3.0
Maveryx 1.3.0 extends the Maveryx Eclipse plug-in, adding professional reporting features for sharing and managing test results. The test reporting tool automatically generates dynamic reports and graphs during test execution, so users can easily locate and evaluate trends during runtime. The test reports present test executions in tables and charts that contain detailed execution results of all tests.
Maveryx report software features include:
- Live, dynamic, real-time charts generation during test execution
- Automated charts creation at the end of the test run to immediately view detailed execution results (PASS or FAIL)
- Automated test report generation, explaining test results with tables, charts, and statistics
- Report output in XML and HTML formats
The key features of Maveryx 1.3 include:
1. Reporting system for meaningful test results
2. Refactoring of the test logging system for detailed test evaluation
3. Simplified AUT Launch Configurations
4. Improved plugin mechanism to easily create extension for custom controls
5. Support for remote and parallel test execution
6. Improved usability and performance
7. Bug fixing
- and other minor improvements...
