Thank you for reaching out and for your kind words about DevStyle - we really appreciate hearing that the plugin has been valuable for you.

We are actively working on resolving the incompatibility with the latest Eclipse release. Unfortunately, this issue is more complex than similar ones we've handled in the past, so it is taking longer than expected. While we don't have a precise estimate yet, please know that we are prioritizing this and will do our best to deliver an update in the coming days.

Thanks again for your patience, and hopefully soon you’ll be able to switch back to DevStyle.

While I'm glad to hear it is working now, I won't be installing it again.

I've been burnt one too many times and I'm not willing to gamble that the next Eclipse release won't have another issue.

Any chance the code could be open-sourced or donated to the Eclipse project?

For anyone who's afraid to update to latest Eclipse version 2026-03: I installed the update without any issues. The Darkest Dark Theme works just as it did before.

The version is not compatible with 2026-03. Actually, it doesn't prevent Eclipse from starting like it has been seen for older version, but there is at least an issue with the console where the last couple of lines are not shown even if you try to scroll down to the bottom of the console and this is quite annoying.

Updated to 2026-06, most of the windows are broken, marketplace doesn't open. 
Error log has:
 

java.lang.Error: SWT Resource was not properly disposed

java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "java.lang.reflect.Field.setAccessible(boolean)" because "this.lastTabHeight" is null
    at com.genuitec.eclipse.theming.ui.rendering.SquareTabRenderer$CTabFolderRendererWrapper.resetCurves(SquareTabRenderer.java:669)
    at com.genuitec.eclipse.theming.ui.rendering.SquareTabRenderer.computeSize(SquareTabRenderer.java:159)

It doesn't work on the last version (Eclipse 2026-06). Toolbars disappear, icon buttons moved away or unreachable, unable to stack different views on the same panel.

It's a pity, because it's by far the most accurate and effective dark theme for Eclipse.

I hope for some support in the future, because default dark theme in Eclipse is honestly less effective than DevStyle Darker Dark.
