Solution Description

Kermeta 2 is the evolution of Kermeta workbench. This is a powerful metaprogramming environment based on an model-oriented language optimized for metamodel engineering and DSL engineering. Kermeta features a comprehensive environment for simplifying activities like :

  • specification of abstract syntax, static semantic (OCL) and dynamic semantics as well with connexion to the concrete syntax. (Ie. define the behavior of a metamodel)
  • model and meta-model simulation and prototyping
  • model transformation
  • model checking
  • aspect weaving

The workbench allows to mashup models working at the metamodel level (such as ecore, Mof, uml profiles, ocl, Alf, Kermeta action language). The action language allows to specify the behavior on top of existing models. Kermeta 2 has been completly rewritten and now uses a bytecode compiler that allows to deploy the code in a java environment.
