This plugin adds features to quickly re-open recently closed files.
* New dialog to view and re-open recently closed editors
* Open the last closed editor via keyboard shortcut
* The current scoll position and caret position of editors is persisted and can be restored when an editor is re-opened. This enables to continue editing at the last viewed position.
This plugin adds the following shortcuts. They can be changed in the Preferences (see Screenshot):
* Recently Closed Files Dialog: CTRL+E
* Re-open Last Closed File: CTRL+SHIFT+W

This plugin requires JDK 11 or newer. You can configure the Java VM that is used by Eclipse using the -vm option in eclipse.ini, which is explained here.

List not maintained after Eclipse closed - otherwise works well

Hi,
This is helpful - thanks for creating the plugin. If possible, it would be nice if it remembered the recently closed files between sessions. When I start Eclipse the recent files list in the File/Recent Files menu shows the recently closed files from before, while this plugin starts with an empty list each time. It would require this plugin to persist its list of recently closed files so they could be reloaded at startup.
List is always empty

Hi,
gave Recent Editors a try. Unfortunately the windows show up is always empty. No entry is recent closed list
MacOS: 10.15.6

Any hints what to do?
