Solution Description

The Atlassian Connector for Eclipse allows you to manage JIRA issues and Bamboo builds without leaving the IDE. It is built on top of the Mylyn task interface.

Dragging the latest atlassian connector into a Neon.1 install results in "not compatible" error.

In Red Hat JBoss Developer Studio 10.1 (based on Neon.0), we included the latest I-build from http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/requirements/atlassian/3.2… in Red Hat Central, which should work in Neon.

However, Eclipse RPM (Fedora 24+, RHEL 7.2+) users may encounter use constraint violations due to javax.servlet/javax.servlet-api conflicts between Orbit bundles and rpm-installed jars. In that case... I'm not sure what the solution is other than perhaps trying the Tasktop thing.

The Atlassian JIRA plugin works perfectly fine via the update site - update.atlassian.com/atlassian-eclipse-plugin/rest/e3.7 and is still suitable for anyone not wanting to pay for a commercial plugin.

We are running various versions of Eclipse (including MyEclipse 2016 CI) and the plugin via the update site works perfectly fine.

Suggestion: You should really mention in your comments that your plugin is a commercial plugin and perhaps also show license costs on your site.

Yes, as stated on the Marketplace listing, the Tasktop connector is $24 per year. A free 30 day trial is included.

I'm glad the Atlassian connector is still working for you, but there have been numerous reports of people having problems with it and Atlassian is not providing support for it anymore.
