To use:

  • Window > Show View > Other... > GFM Support > GFM View > OK
  • Drag the view wherever you want (I like it in the bottom pane).
  • Open the *.md in whichever editor you want.
  • In the GFM View pane, click the reload icon (looks like yellow and green curved arrows facing each other).

This is the exact type of plugin I was looking for. Thanks for creating it. Similar to a recent post, after I installed it and restarted Eclipse, I am unable to open my MD file's using 'open with'. This editor does not show up as an option. The only option I have to write/view Markdown is with the default 'WikiText Editor' which doesn't allow you to author and view at the same time.

Hi great Satyagraha 1956, thank you for creating this great tool. But after I installed it, when I try to open a md file with 'open with', I can't find it.
