Hello,

I'm having issues getting the plugin to install. I'm receiving the following error:
```
Unable to read repository at https://public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/websphere/wasdev/u….
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
```

The Eclipse version I have to use is:
```
Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java Developers (includes Incubating components)
Version: 2020-06 (4.16.0)
Build id: 20200615-1200
```

I haven't found any assistance while looking into the issue. Is there a workaround for this problem?

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Adam,

I think this is an issue with your Java's security not recognizing the root certificate authority (CA) SSL certificate of https://public.dhe.ibm.com

Have a look at these Stack Overflow issues and see if they can help you install the certificates locally.

Good luck!

It appers some error when I install in STS 4.20.1!

How can I install it ?

This plugin breaks Maven integration as soon as you install it in any of the latetest versions of Eclipse. Maven menu just disappears from the IDE. I hope this will be fixed someday soon.

Hi , this is the same as the problem described below - I can copy the answer here too, this should work around the problem until Eclipse release the fix

Hi,

This I believe is a problem with Eclipse itself (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=582183). You will likely see errors like this in the log file

"org.osgi.framework.BundleException: Could not resolve module: org.eclipse.jst.server.preview.adapter [529]"

Can you edit the following file: `configuration/org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator/bundles.info`

And add this line to the file (anywhere should work but I tested putting it at the end of the file)

jakarta.enterprise.cdi-api,2.0.2,plugins/jakarta.enterprise.cdi-api_2.0.2.jar,4,false

This should put back the missing dependency which fixed a bunch of problems (maven integration being one of them)

The latest version of this plugin causes problems with Maven support in Eclipse versions 2023-06, 2023-03 and 2022-12. On Eclipse Eclipse 2022-09 it appears to be working fine.

Dear all, in relation to my previous comment sent on Thu, 2023-02-23, I found that the configuration file:

://public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/websphere/wasdev/downloads/wdt-catalog.xml

is wrong.

What do you think about?

Thanks

Hello Carl, I installed the plugin on an 2022-03 Eclipse. No errors received but, when i click Help>Install WebSphere Software... I get this error.

I was trying to configure Websphere 8.5 server with STS, unfortunately not able to download it from marketplace.

It says "No repository found at public.dhe.ibm.com/install_not_applicable_for_this_version_of_eclipse".

Could you please provide me the workaround for this.

Thanks !

Can someone fix the error?  I got the error as below with STS4.7.1.

No repository found at public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/websphere/wasdev/updates/wdt/2020-09_comp_was/.

Something must be wrong in the IBM repository.

Thanks!

I can install it couple of days ago.  But now I have the error as below when I was trying to install the WAS 8.5 developer tool under STS 4.7.1.  Error message is:

No repository found at public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/websphere/wasdev/updates/wdt/2020-09_comp_was/.

Can someone fix it?

Thanks!

I read that WebSphere Application Server V8.5x Developer Tools only works on Eclipse IDE releases up to and including 2020-06 at the moment.

So I downloaded 2020-06 and then try to install.  I got the message that the respository cannot be found.

"No repository found at public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/websphere/wasdev/updates/wdt/2020-09_comp_was/"

I drag and drop into Eclipse and found this...

No repository found at install_not_applicable_for_this_version_of_eclipse.

This is my version of Eclipse
Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java and Web Developers (includes Incubating components)

Version: 2021-03 (4.19.0)
Build id: 20210312-0638

Why doesn't this show up in the Eclipse Marketplace client?  Even if I drag the install button to my Eclipse workspace, all it does is lauch the Marketplace client which does not include this feature.  I have searched over and over in the Marketplace client for IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.5x Developer Tools and it nevers shows up.  Is there a way to download it directly?

I was using Oxygen.3a Release (4.7.3a)

I installed  Kepler and was able to find it in Marketplace.  But when it tries to install I get the following errors:

Today, as part of the plugin installation through Eclipse 2020-06 R, download of most JAR files seems to work except few files whose size is above 30 MB. Even when the download was tried from browser, those files could not be downloaded fully.

The files which failed to download were:

1. com.ibm.helpwar.doc_1.0.0.v20121212_0720.jar (35,190,973)

2. com.ibm.rational.ttt.common.models.core_9.0.100.v20160212_2300.jar (34,086,041)

3. com.ibm.websphere.wdt.stubs_1.0.4.v20200826_1754.jar (44,824,252)

But we also noted that some files which were more than 30 MB could be downloded qucikly. Like:

com.ibm.websphere.v85.core_1.0.200.v20200826_1754.jar (47,107,222)

Due to this issue, we are not able to install the required plugin

I can not found the IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.5X Developer Tools 19.0.0.9 in eclipse market, where can I found?

Eclipse 2020-09 needs Java 11 as a minimum version to run on. This seems to cause problems when using theses plugins. For example when creating a new WebSphere 8.5 server I get a popup: "IBM JRE Warning - An attempt was made to use a WebSphere Application Server specific function, which is only supported on JRE 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0.

Hello, sorry for the late reply but wanted to check if you are still experiencing this issue with the latest WDT release? The issue seems to be related to network problems and might be fixed with a more stable internet connection.

The application server stops randomly and with the IBM Support we found out that the stop for the application server is sent from an local address.
It isn't stopped by myself.
If I work for ours with my applications on the WAS it works perfect, but then it could be that the server all 5 Minutes is stopped and I have to restart it.

With this output we could see that the shutdown is sent from local:

Is there a way to get a debug log from Plugin or can you give me a hint what I have to do that this doesn't happen?
