Details

This plugin supports eclipse users to capture screen videos and take screenshots for the eclipse window or an editor panel without having to install a third party screen video capturing application such as Wink. The plugin can be used in most Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux and IoS.

The captured videos are saved in avi files and they are automatically converted to other compressed video files such as flv using ffmpeg if you choose to do so. The plugin will automatically download ffmpeg for your eclipse if you approve to do so.

The saved videos or screenshots can be published to remote cloud platforms such as youtube, JIRA or KMLin (www.kmlin.com) if you set their URLs properly.

The plugin update site is: http://www.kmlin.com/eclipse_plugin_site. You can add this URL to your Eclipse => Help => Install New Software.

A userguide screen video is available at: http://www.kmlin.com/player.php?action=play&sid=0000000001&crid=00000000... and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RfbLhLc60A&feature=youtu.be. That video is taken using this plugin.

Hello Aizhong,

I'm interested in this plugin.

Do you still support the plugin? is it still maintained?

Regards,

Ian

Does this also work on Linux ?

Submitted by Martin Oberhuber on Fri, 2013-03-08 11:23

It's not clear from the description whehter this works on Windows only, or Linux too.
The homepage also doesn't help here.

The screenshots are all from Windows, and .avi is more of a Windows format so I assume Linux users are out of luck?

It is working for Linux

Submitted by Aizhong Lin on Tue, 2013-03-19 02:13

Yes, Martin. It is working for Linux. .avi is only a middle file format. The final file is flv that can be played with VLC in most of the OSs.
