PutMan is a lightweight REST API client built natively into Eclipse. Inspired by Postman, it lets you send HTTP requests (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, HEAD, OPTIONS), inspect responses in Raw, JSON, or HTML format, and manage multiple request tabs all without leaving your IDE. Built on Eclipse RCP 4 with a clean E4 application model.
Installation
Option 1 — Install New Software (recommended)
1. Open Eclipse IDE
2. Help → Install New Software...
3. Click Add... and enter:
- Name: Putman
- Location: https://civerooni.github.io/putman-site/
4. Select Putman and click Next → Finish
5. Restart Eclipse when prompted
6. Open the view: Window → Show View → Other → Putman → Putman
Option 2 — Drag to install
Drag the Install button above into a running Eclipse IDE window.

If the drag-to-install button doesn't work
It's a known Eclipse Marketplace issue — the button requires marketplace.eclipse.org to be reachable from inside Eclipse and MPC to be present. The Install New Software method is more reliable and what most plugin authors recommend as the primary install path.
