Epic fail on 2020-11-17 trying to add this to 2020-09

Submitted by Frederick Morrison on Tue, 2020-11-17 15:29

I tried the drag-n-drop technique and it failed with a message that it could not install.

Drag and drop pretty much uses the same installation method internally. What will help us find the cause is sharing the error message you got when installing.

How do you solve not applicable error?

Submitted by Muhammad Suleman on Mon, 2020-10-12 22:18

How do you solve this error

"Eclipse PDE Patch with Java 15 support for 2020-09 development stream" is not applicable to the current configuration and will not be installed.

It is quite a common error. How come there no fix until now?

This only happens when you don't have the right version of Eclipse installed. Can you confirm you are trying it on the said version of Eclipse?

Can you please post the steps to reproduce this error? Please make sure that you mention the Eclipse version you use.

If you thinks its a PDE issue, please create a bug report here : https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=PDE
