The Equo Editor can be used and embedded in any Eclipse based application. It also works as a drop-in replacement for the Eclipse Generic Editor. It’s based on the Monaco web editor (same as VSCode). It brings the beauty and the capabilities of a modern editor into Eclipse.
You can add the Language Protocol Server (LSP) you want to Eclipse and the Equo Editor will help you to easily write code like modern IDEs do.

It is very sad to see that this extension is no longer maintained and does not work with latest Eclipse releases.
Opening a file with this editor produces the following error:
