I learned a lot about Eclipse from the tutorials from http://www.vogella.de. Lars Vogel has introductory tutorials for almost every Eclipse topic. These are very helpful for getting started.

He also blog about Eclipse under his blog http://www.vogella.de/blog and speaks about Eclipse on conferences.

He also has a lot of programming tutorial about Android with Eclipse on his website.

Every time I check for something on http://eclipse.org/resources/ it seems that every second tutorial is written by Lars.

Russell Bateman

Russell is a tireless supporter of newcomers with his answers and support in the eclipse newcomers question forum. This kind of support is a huge benefit to the community, and also to committers as it lets them focus more on bug fixes and enhancements. He has averaged nearly two messages per day since he joined the forums two years ago!
