eUML is a crack of EclipseUML Omondo 2005 !! The full code has never been donated.
This is now a old story but still not solved.
I don't understand Soyatec company because till this intellectual property is not solved they will never be able to be considered seriously on the market for there other plugins which have certainly more potential than eUML on long term.
Why to deliver for free an UML tool which generate no money and gives them a bad reputation ?
eUML adds tags in your code and has no UML model. You can have a clean project and after eUML use this is worst than "Dragé fuka" with a big splash on the toilet wall:-)
eUML is also just a graphical designer having live code synchronization but not an UML tool !!
Only class and sequence diagrams.
The code generation is very dirty and getter, setter, constructors etc..are written in the same order than the creation in your diagram. It means that you can have setters before constructors and attributes etc...
Association is even worth. Create an association, then change property of it in your class diagram and your code is not compiling anymore.
In the sequence diagram try to move a frame and you immediately loose all your diagram.
The reverse engineering is wrong and you have duplicate information because methods has the same signature. detected association are wrong. Dependencies are double or triple because it creates new dependencies each time you open the diagram. Label are moving when they want by themself and also my size, design etc..I organize my diagram nicely, close my diagram and open it again and whoo my presentation has been lost :-)
This tool is so unprofessional than I don't understand how Omondo has sold it in 2006 ? You would only recommend this tool to your worth enemies :-)

We had signed a spin off contract with Omondo early 2006. Hence we have the IP of entire sources of eUML2. This is why Omondo cannot attack us.

Yes, the source code was donated by Omondo early 2006. It only concerns EclipseUML core which was developed between 2003 and 2004.
Omondo has left the EMF modeling market which is sharing model and code in the java editor in order to focus on the UML MOF market. A strict differentiation between Java and the model is critical even if live code and model synchronization is possible. There is therefore no more competition between both companies.

Great plug-in! Even the free version is far more better than other paid plug-ins. Thanks!
