Too bad the extension obviously supports only SSH tunnel with user name and password login. Or have I overlooked something? All my databases are remote and not directly accessible.

I am trying to Query mongoDB using this plugin inside eclipse. It is asking for mongo.exe file or some console. let us know if i need to install some thing else.

Hi, for proper work you should install Mongo executables from https://www.mongodb.com/

I've installed this plugin on Eclipse Luna SR3 on Windows 10.
My database is Oracle 11g.
My characer encoding is UTF8. I use spanish characters
Whe open a package, I can see special spanish characters like "áéíóúñÑ". (See CODE1).
But if I press "Open in editor", I loose the encoding. (See CODE2).
I've configured plugin to use UTF8 and restarted Eclipse, but the problem is the same.
¿Is there any way to use the editor and don't loose the encoding?

Hi, can you set workspace encoding to UTF-8 in preferrences?

I'm using TOAD in Spring Tool Suite 3.6.4 (Based on Eclipse Luna 4.4.2)
I ran a query which relies on now() and realised that the timestamp returned for "now()" only changes when the connection to Postgres is dropped and re-connected.
It appears to cache the value returned for now() the first time it's used and then always goes to the cache subsequently.
I tested the same quesy against the same database with pgadmin and always get the current date/time so this must be an issue with TOAD.

Auto correct on hover does not work when Toad extension is installed. Although you can still use the hot key Ctrl + 1. It will work again after uninstalling this extension.
Note that SQL development and java development is done simultaneously.

The eclipse v3.0 you state is correct? If yes, you will need to upgrade to at least v3.7 Indigo, but recommending you the latest Kepler. Toad Extension has never been tested with that old eclipse versions.

I don't know if this question has been asked before, but will this extension work in Adobe Flash Builder IDE (a.k.a. Flex)?

This is an Excellent plugin for oracle db users. (Maybe the mysql, postgresql users)
I can access, modify queries and check out the results and dbms responds in my eclipse.
however, is there any possible way to install this excellent plugin without internet connection?

Fedora 17 x86_64, yum install eclipse, install TOAD Extension via update site, restart eclipse, open TOAD perspective ===> HANG
Same thing if I install Eclipse Classic 4.2.1 manually from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

Toed Extension for Eclipse has made my life so much easier when creating Java or PHP applications that interface with an Oracle database. It is great not having to have to switch between two IDE's.
