Successful install on Mars.2 , great plugin!
However I did not find any entry in the preferences to configure the syntax highlighting theme that currently clashes with my dark background, any tips?

sruediger's picture

After installing ShellEd I am not able to select the shell interpreter ("Window/Preferences/Shell Script/Interperters").
After clicking "Search...", a popup window with "No interpreters found" is all I get.

My Installation:
Eclipse: Mars.2 (Release 4.5.2)
ShellEd: Installed with Eclipse ("Help/Install New Software...") from http://download.eclipse.org/technology/dltk/updates-dev/5.4/

Any help is appreciated.

Eventually managed to solve it on my own:
Searched for 'bash.exe' on my C:\-drive and found the one of Git (C:\Program Files\Git\bin\bash.exe).
I added the path and now it's working like a charm.

ShellEd is part of DLTK 5.4 and thus is installable from http://download.eclipse.org/technology/dltk/updates-dev/5.4/ . Sourceforge work is halted.

I'm glad you maintain this plugin.
But, this version doesn't seems to work on Mars.2 Release (4.5.2) Build id: 20160218-0600!

Hi, first of all thanks for implementing and sharing this plugin.

One thing that I found is missing, however, is the "Mark Occurences" feature. This way it is much easier to understand and write scripts. Are you planning, to add this feature?

jradajewski's picture

it's working fine on my main linux box but when installing on raspberry pi I get:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: ShellEd 2.0.3 (net.sourceforge.shelled.feature.group 2.0.3)
Missing requirement: ShellEd Core Plug-in 2.0.0.201307080909 (net.sourceforge.shelled.core 2.0.0.201307080909) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.dltk.core [4.0.0,6.0.0)' but it could not be found

Install "Dynamic Languages Toolkit - Core Frameworks" first, then restart. That'll satisfy the dependency.
(Help -> Install New Software -> all available sites -> search "dynamic languages toolkit" -> ...)

jradajewski's picture

its eclipse 3.8.0 with 3.0.0 version of the dynamic languages toolkit and shelled wants version 4.0.0

Is now at sourceforge.net/projects/shelled/files/shelled/update/

The links above are mostly invalid, and take you the sourceforge project main page only.

rgongitp's picture

how to download???

imiller's picture

There's an update site you can add to Eclipse:

sourceforge.net/projects/shelled/files/shelled/update/

This form isn't allowing URLs, so you'll have to guess a bit!

Cheers

I was able to install this software (v.2.0.0.201007201532) with Helios. You have to download the zip file. First, you will have to install the Man Page Viewer under the Linux Tools projects. Then you can install with the add archive option.

To expand slightly, installation instructions which work for Helios can be found at the project's wiki page: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/shelled/wiki/ShellEd-Installation-Instr...
